The decade of the 1970s brought momentous changes to the Tallahassee saints—most notably, the formation of the Tallahassee Stake of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in 1973.
The 1980s saw tremendous growth for the Church in the Tallahassee area, with several buildings dedicated. Temple work also exploded, first with trips to Washington, DC, and later to the new Atlanta Temple.
