Audiences still have not forgotten Sissel’s stunning performances at the Choir and Orchestra’s 2006 Christmas concerts. The concert was shown in 2007 on PBS stations to 4 million viewers around the country. A gala celebrating the 95th birthday of President Russell M. Nelson will be held Friday, September 6, 2019, in the Conference Center in Salt Lake City. Performing artists Jenny Oaks Baker & Family Four, GENTRI, The Bonner Family, Nathan Pacheco, and Donny Osmond will join The Tabernacle Choir and Orchestra at Temple Square for the evening celebration. The First Presidency invites Church members and their friends to participate in the First Presidency’s Christmas devotional broadcast. The program, originating from the Conference Center, will include Christmas messages by General Authorities and General Officers of the Church.
