DESCRIPTION:The Tabernacle Choir and Orchestra at Temple Square will present “Love Thy Neighbor: A Special Tabernacle Choir Event” on Friday and Saturday\, July 15 and 16\, 2022\, at 8 p.m. mountain daylight time at the Conference Center on Temple Square in Salt Lake City\, Utah. \nThe event will feature music and narration that encourage everyone to care for one another\, a central message for the Choir and Orchestra in their mission to inspire\, uplift and bless the world through music. The program is designed to share feelings of comfort and hope during today’s troubled times\, to inspire kindness and concern and to encourage Christlike outreach to everyone. The performance will open with songs and a short tribute to the Latter-day Saint pioneers. These will be followed by songs on the “Love Thy Neighbor” theme\, including “Fill the World With Love” from “Goodbye\, Mr. Chips\,” “Love One Another\,” “Where Love Is” and “Hold On” from “The Secret Garden.” Interwoven with the musical numbers will be narration delivered in a unique way. Mack Wilberg\, music director\, and Ryan Murphy\, associate music director\, will conduct the music.
