Tallahassee LDS members respond to shortage of face masks

TALLAHASSEE – Faced with a pandemic-induced shortage of personal protective equipment (PPE), members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Tallahassee area responded with a coordinated effort to produce hand-made masks. Myla Wahlquist, president of the Relief Society (women’s organization) in the Tallahassee Third Ward — got involved when her sister-in-law asked Myla Wahlquist her to head a 350-mask project for Tallahassee Memorial Hospital (TMH) emergency room. LDS church members adapt to services at home

TALLAHASSEE – Like many members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Spencer and Sarah Youngberg and their three children had their family routine dramatically altered by the March 12 announcement that all church meetings were canceled due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Latter-day Saints announce global COVID-19 relief efforts

Includes community projects in the Tallahassee area TALLAHASSEE – Local members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints are participating in a worldwide COVID-19 relief effort.
