The City of Tallahassee was officially designated as a JustServe City on Wednesday, Sept. 9, following a formal city proclamation presented by Tallahassee Mayor John E. Dailey to representatives from the Tallahassee Florida Stake of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
JustServe is a community service website provided by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. It acts as a clearinghouse both for organizations seeking volunteers and those who want to help in their community.
Members of the Tallahassee Stake of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints joined more than 2,000 other volunteers in Louisiana this past weekend (Sept. 17-19) as Hurricane Ida relief efforts continued for the third week.
One organization posting on the JustServe site is Project Annie, a Tallahassee group whose mission is to serve members of the greater Frenchtown community who are considered “food insufficient.”
