TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – The Institute of Religion is a free religious education program offered by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to help young adults deepen their faith in Jesus Christ through scripture study, interactive classes, and community activities. As this worldwide program celebrates its 100th anniversary in 2026, the Tallahassee Institute of Religion, also known as the LDS Student Life Center, is proud to join thousands of Institute locations around the globe in marking this milestone.

Located at 314 Stadium Drive across from Florida State University, this welcoming space serves Tallahassee’s young adults, including college students, recent graduates, and young professionals. Participants find a supportive, faith-based environment to study the teachings of Jesus Christ, build meaningful friendships, and receive encouragement during the exciting yet challenging years of early adulthood. The program is open to everyone, regardless of religious background or experience, making it a welcoming place for anyone interested in spiritual growth or who may need a sense of community.

“I am constantly impressed by the desire that our students have to deepen their faith and their connection to Jesus Christ alongside their academic and professional endeavors,” said Will Perez, Tallahassee Institute director. “Many arrive navigating uncertainties about their future, faith, or sense of purpose. Through inspiring experiences that foster personal transformation and genuine connection with peers, they discover their divine worth, gain strength in their beliefs, and leave equipped to face life’s opportunities with greater confidence and joy.”

The Institute offers free resources, including weekly scripture-based classes, social events, devotionals, service projects, complimentary meals, and a comfortable study space with extended hours.

Young adults around the Tallahassee region are invited to virtually join in the global centennial celebrations, including a Worldwide Devotional on February 1, 2026.
