Family ties drew Printess and Mary McCreless to Cyprus mission
Longtime Tallahassee residents Mary and Printess “Maylon” McCreless are preparing to serve a mission on Cyprus, an island republic in the Mediterranean and part of the Adriatic South Mission of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
LDS Church to sponsor community, interfaith forum
Sponsored by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS), the community and interfaith forum is designed to open a dialogue on young people and the challenges they face. Tallahassee elder serving unique mission in Washington state
Elder Thelonious Linford from the Tallahassee Second Ward is serving a somewhat unique mission in the Seattle area – he is one of six American Sign Language (ASL) missionaries assigned to the Puget Sound ASL branch.
Temple construction crew gets cookie treatment from LDS members
Bruce and Christine Hale serve as temple site missionaries for the Tallahassee Temple, teaching what a temple is and how it differs from meetinghouses. Each week they distribute cookies to the workers along with a personal note from area members of the Church.
BYU-Idaho Symphony Band to perform in Tallahassee
The Symphony Band from Brigham Young University-Idaho (BYU-I) will perform in Tallahassee Thursday, July 28 at 7 p.m. at Chiles High School Auditorium as part of its “American Summer” tour.
